I realized I haven't made an "art" update in awhile. I have been drawing and such--just haven't photographed/uploaded. Here are a couple:
I painted over another painting that I didn't particularly care for. The transparency of the wash-out layer does make for nice upholstery on the chairs though. This is acrylic on canvas. Size: 16x12inches. I quite like the end result and might just end up hanging it in the living room. I think I'll also make a series of these... (or of furniture drawings/paintings in general)
This is just a sketch of a child's head. Being a fan of portraiture, I was thinking of painting this as a watercolour.

Oh, and I also sketched this thinking of the warm weather. It was then hastily coloured digitally. With the rosy cheeks it rather reminds me of classic Chinese Communist posters.
This gives me an idea for a painting. Hmmm!

This is one of my favourite photos of all time even if I do look decidely frumpy. I sure do wish I had a large version that I could make prints with. Our dear friend Sam was exercisin' his photog skillz with my shitty camera.
And no, we didn't go to Tufts. That was our house first year of college named after James H. Tufts.

Happy Memorial Day. At last, I've made a new card. Must get back into the etsy swing of things but alas, my camera is on the fritz.

Maw left this morning. I miss her already--despite it having been a most stressful weekend indeed. We (mostly she) did major damage at Macy's, but said damage was comparatively minor when considering that mostly everything was on clearance. Sometimes, department stores really do beat out the boutiques. You'll never (/rarely) see boutiques carrying Marc by MJ at 60% discount + an additional 50% discount. There were also some great shoes, but alas, most of the best only came in the 6 and 6 1/2 sizes. After many lessons, I've now learned that getting shoes that are too small no matter how much I love them is really not the prudent investment. I think they'll stretch out, but they don't--and so they sit there. Waiting.
Also, I had this terrible dream last night that spoke to the inefficiency of publicly run entities and the cruelty of humanity. Yes, it was that epic in scope. Hah
Anyway,...
